What is the Link between Meditation and Sex?  Did you know that you can meditate your way to more orgasms and better sex? That is because meditation allows you to harness your energy and achieve self-mastery.

Orgasms: We all want them.  And most of us want deeper, longer more fulfilling orgasms, and more orgasms.  Some of us just want orgasms full stop.

Healing the Orgasm Deficit

While the male orgasm is almost a given in any sexual encounter, the female orgasm is often much more elusive.  Many women struggle to orgasm through intercourse and an all too large percentage of women have never had an orgasm.

Whilst the techniques of our partners certainly make a difference, I do believe, as a woman, that orgasm is a very personal experience.  I have to say that my orgasm is mine, it’s all about my energy and my sexuality.  Sure, being with someone I am really into, really relaxed with and who has good technique helps, but ultimately, I do say it is all about me.

The reason I say this is that I never used to orgasm.  In fact, I was 21 before I realised that orgasm was not just the remit of the male.  When my boyfriend asked me why I was not having orgasms, I simply could not even get my head around what he was talking about, or what an orgasm would feel like.

How I Learned about Meditation and Sex

I tried to research it, and in those days, there wasn’t quite the resources that are available today.  The description I read sounded frankly quite clinical and I could not comprehend what this would even feel like.  However, I could not escape the growing feeling that something was really wrong with me.

One day, I came across a book by Mantak Chia called Cultivating Female Sexual Energy.  It immediately caught my eye and, although I had never heard of the phrase before, immediately I knew this was what I needed to do.  This was my introduction to a type of meditation called Taoist Sexual Alchemy.

I bought the book and read it, but it made little sense to me.  Then, I realised I needed to find a teacher, and so I booked myself on a retreat.  Somehow, I ended up in a small house in rural Devon with a small group of women.  There, I started to learn the Taoist techniques of sexual energy.

Taoist meditation involves cultivating, moving, transforming and storing energy.  I learned to use my mind to start to focus into my body and connect with myself.  It was then that I came to a realisation that I had spent most of my life disconnected from my body and especially my sexual organs.  Indeed, I have to admit there was nothing anyone else could have done to give me an orgasm until I learned to connect with my sexual energy and get an orgasm for myself.

The workshop involved learning how to meditate with my organs, my energy and my vagina aka yoni.  This means focusing my attention to those parts of myself, connecting with them and smiling to them.  This is an ancient martial arts trick of how to send energy.  I smiled to my heart, my Kidneys and to my Lungs, and then I smiled to my Yoni.

That was something else.  You know the feeling if you see an old long-lost friend and share a smile, and it’s like a warm buzz inside of you?  Well, that’s the closest thing I can compare it to.  I learned to grow and activate my energy and to release blockages.

Understanding About Sexual Reflexology

I learned that, like my feet, my vagina has reflexology zones.  These are five areas that relate to certain emotions.  I learned that fear lives in the entrance of my vagina, that anger gets store in my g-spot and that heart break and pain gets store in my cervix.  Then, I learned how to find these areas, connect with the emotions, and release them with sounds.

I went home with my new and most unusual past time.  Meditating with my yoni and making sounds.  I was fascinated by it and sure that it was going to do something to me.  I mean, nothing else had worked so I may as well try it, because I was close to feeling hopeless about this clear lack of feminine experience that was haunting me.  Besides it was fun and there was something that just dragged me in, as much as it sounded to my logical mind like a load of nonsense.

Yoni Meditation:  How to Reconnect with Your Body

As I continued to practice my yoni meditation, I could tangibly feel energies leaving my body.  It was like a kind of dark energy, grey smoke, that would leave in clouds.  Then something else happened that was logically inexplicable.  My vagina started to tingle and become really sensitive.  I don’t know how to explain it, but it just happened.  And after a couple of weeks, it happened.  My vagina started pulsing and fizzing, and there is was:  my first orgasm.

In fact, I didn’t just become orgasmic, I became multi-orgasmic.  I know many women will just have one orgasm; well I never went through that stage.  First, I never had it, couldn’t even comprehend it, and then it just hit me, bam, and it was there.  All or nothing.  Having nothing to compare it to, I didn’t realise that before my vagina was completely numb.  But now that I had got my sensation, I realised how wrong everything had been before.

How I benefitted from the Meditation and Sex Link

My newfound sexual prowess didn’t just bring the benefits of pleasure.  Very rapidly my chronic back pain melted away and my sleep which had always been less than perfect, improved significantly.  I had focus, energy and direction and my career path really took off too.

When I think how to explain my experience in terms of modern science, I really struggle.  Could I have woken up sleeping nerve endings?  It just doesn’t make sense.  If I look at it on the level of the esoteric, I clearly had brought the energy back into my vagina by cleaning out emotional blockages.  All the baggage of shame and guilt as well as fear, conditioned into me as a child, just melted away.  It had all been stored, like a mouldy sock in the cupboard, in my vagina.  Finally, I learned how to have a spring clean.

These days, having an orgasm is about as easy as breathing.  I don’t masturbate, I meditate to move the waves of energy.  That’s because my energy is so sensitive I just need to connect with my mind and it moves.  I don’t need rough stimulation.

Now I don’t deny that being with someone I am really into and someone with good techniques makes a difference.  I would be lying to say otherwise.  But I also know that when I am experiencing wave after wave of orgasmic bliss, I know that those are my orgasms which I worked damn hard for and I deserve the credit for.
